"Together, let's support our athletes, celebrate sportsmanship and once again demonstrate Montpellier's attractiveness and influence."
"The Montpellier area will play host to the biggest national taekwondo competition since the Elite French Championships in the discipline will be held at the FDI Stadium from February 16 to 18, 2024. This flagship event of the season is the result of close collaboration between 3MTKD, the local Taekwondo club, and the French Taekwondo Federation (FFTDA).
Founded in 2000, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole Taekwondo has established itself as a symbol of sporting excellence. Since 2007, it has been at the pinnacle of French Taekwondo, both as the country's largest club with a record 600 members, and with over 180 French, European and World championship titles to its name, testifying to the club's success in training all the way from leisure practice to the highest level.
This tournament is of particular importance to the athletes as it represents a crucial step towards the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. We're looking forward to seeing the best French Taekwondo talents face off in our FDI Stadium, which is usually dedicated to the jousting of the MHB handball team. We therefore encourage you to come and take part in this memorable event, especially as access will be free of charge.
With almost 2,500 spectators expected each day, the stadium will be buzzing with electricity and sporting fervor. Together, let's support our athletes, celebrate sportsmanship and once again demonstrate Montpellier's appeal and influence as a warm and passionate host for major sporting events."
