Following on from the French Espoirs Championships in 2013 and the France Poomsea 2023, Montpellier, one of France's most sporting cities and nicknamed "la surdouée", will once again welcome our top taekwondo players to compete for the supreme titles. While some members of the elite will fly to Istanbul for the Turkish Open, the focus will be on Montpellier's FDI Stadium, where the cream of French taekwondo will gather on February 17 and 18.

"The French championships are where it all begins," he says. declares Patrick Rosso, National Technical Director. If competitors' ambitions quickly turn to the international stage, considered the zone of truth for major titles, winning the French champion's crown is of significant importance. It's both a major achievement in a list of honors and the foundation on which athletes can aspire to national selections, including qualification for Euro 2024 in Belgrade from May 10 to 12".

Montpellier's FDI Stadium will play host to almost three hundred competitors at this exceptional event. For several years now, juniors have been able to compete in the "France seniors". They will have the opportunity to measure themselves against their elders, in a configuration similar to that of international competitions, reinforcing the density of the tables and giving weight to the medallists.

The 2024 edition promises epic confrontations. Experience versus ambition, mastery versus passion... It's all about marking your territory at this 2024 edition, which underlines 3MTKD's investment in the development of taekwondo at territorial and national level.
